燈塔開放入內 品味綠島之美

綠島燈塔經過整建相關公共設施後，已經開放供大眾觀光，遊客即日起可以進入燈塔園區拍照賞景，細細品味綠島之美。

觀光局東海岸國家風景區管理處表示，民國二十六年，美國豪華客船胡佛總統號，行經綠島北面時，觸礁擱淺獲救，美國各界為感念綠島居民見義勇為，民國二十七年透過國際紅十字總會捐款，在綠島西北端興建鋼筋混凝土式燈塔，當初命名為「火燒島燈塔」，後續在民國38年更名為綠島燈塔。 高三十三點三公尺的白色燈塔，夜晚發出的燈光，台東市、成功一帶都清晰可見，塔上有150級階梯，由塔頂可俯望全島，是綠島最美麗的建築。
